OUR STORY

We Run a Dry Cleaner. That’s Why We Are Here.

You’ve probably been burned by an agency that didn’t know a comforter program from a stop on your route. We own Sage Cleaners in Tampa. We’ve run the plant, made payroll, and fought for every customer, the same way you do.

We work with dry cleaners and laundromats — Garment Care businesses like yours only. Whether you run one location or a multi-market brand, you get people who already understand the seasonality of this industry, your POS, your margins, and your services.

HOW WE STARTED

Built By Operators

Sage pickup & delivery, Tampa Bay. The route business was built from nothing.

Sage on Google, run on the same review system we build for clients.
2019

Cleaner Marketing started inside a dry cleaning business. In 2019, Cohen Wills bought Sage Cleaners, a 13-location operation doing $2.2 million a year with zero route revenue. Then COVID hit and the business had to fight to stay open.

Marketing had to bring customers in or the doors closed.

2020

Cohen learned Google Ads, SEO, reviews, and customer communication the hard way, under real pressure, until they produced revenue he could actually see.

2022

Somewhere in the middle of all that, Cohen realized the systems worked because of how they were built, not because of where. They’d work for any dry cleaner. Cleaner Marketing opened in 2022 to bring them to operators across the country.

By the end of that year, Cohen wanted to build something bigger than he could run himself. He brought on Justin Kane to scale the company and build the team.

2024

By 2024, Sage was an 8-location operation doing $3.7 million, with $1.25 million of that coming from routes. Five locations were closed or consolidated. Revenue per store nearly tripled, from roughly $169,000 to $462,000. The route business was built from nothing.

Today

Cohen still owns Sage today. It runs with a management team in place, which means every system we sell you is still running in a live dry cleaning business rather than remembered from one.

HOW WE GROW YOUR BUSINESS

5 Steps To Grow Your Business

You’re busy, and you’ve been sold vague promises before. Here’s exactly what happens when you work with us, start to finish.

Start with step one: a free strategy call
  1. 1

We find where you’re leaving money.

Before you spend a dollar, we go through what you’re running now and pin down the revenue you’re missing. That conversation decides which package you start on, based on where your business is today and what you’re trying to grow.

  2. 2

You get a team that already knows dry cleaning.

You’re paired with specialists who work in dry cleaning and nothing else. You won’t spend your first month explaining your business to them. They’re ready to strategize and execute with you from day one.

  3. 3

We build a strategy meant to convert.

Local SEO, review systems, reactivation campaigns, paid ads. We run them as one system because they feed each other. Reviews lift your local rankings. Better rankings make your ads cheaper to run. Reactivation brings back the customers those channels already paid to acquire. Run any one of them by itself and you leave most of its value on the table.

  4. 4

We launch fast and optimize as we go.

You see movement early. Campaigns go live, performance gets tracked, and we tighten what’s working. You’re never left wondering whether anything is happening.

  5. 5

You see what’s working and what it’s worth.

Every result ties back to your POS and gets shown to you in plain English. You always know what your money is doing.

Favorite Core Memory: Hands down, my interview.
Justin showed up all warm and welcoming - immediately asked me how I was and how Cape Town was! Of course, while I answered his questions, I knew he was silently dissecting every word coming out of my mouth but weirdly enough, I felt this unexpected sense of peace through all my nerves!
It was a full-circle moment, because I’d actually met Justin years before and always wondered what it’d be like working with him. Now I know.
Spoiler alert: it's pretty great

In that moment, it hit me; I went from building a team that was selfless and felt like family… to joining a team that is selfless and feels like family. That’s when I knew I had made the perfect leap of faith!

Favorite Core Memory: One of my core memories is from my final interview with Skye and Justin. What really stuck with me was when Justin asked what I expected from them as my managers in my first 90 days. I answered with things that were all work-related, but then he completely flipped the script. He told me that, above everything else, the biggest thing they wanted to give me was support; not just at work, but on a personal level too.

That moment hit different. It felt like when you’re about to eat something and you already know what flavor to expect, but then you take that first bite and it’s so unexpectedly perfect. It was such a clear sign that this wasn’t just a job; it was a place where I’d be genuinely supported and understood.

Onboarding Specialist

Favorite Core Memory: One of my favorite memories was my first team meeting. I remember feeling excited, but also a bit nervous. I had this idea that a larger company might feel more formal or distant. It turned out to be the complete opposite. From the start, I felt genuinely welcomed. The meeting was well-organized, the information shared was really helpful, and I loved how people took the time to give shout-outs to each other. Ending it by singing Happy Birthday to a teammate made everything feel warm, real, and fun.

It really showed me that the company holds high standards while still genuinely caring about its people. In that moment, I felt like I had found a place where I could be myself, continue growing, and truly belong.

Favorite Core Memory: When I joined the marketing agency in its earliest days, I thought it would just be a short project. I never expected it to become one of the most unforgettable parts of my life. In just a few short years, I’ve watched us grow so fast and turn the dreams we once talked about into something real and within reach. This journey has been more than just work — it’s been a meaningful part of my life. I’m truly thankful for the trust and belief you’ve given me from the very start.

Most used word/phrase: Taking care of it.

Emoji:

Ann Alcayde

Administrative Support Specialist

Favorite Core Memory: Before joining the team in December 2025, Grace reached out to ask if I was still available and open to taking on a client. She shared that CM was looking for additional support like her and spoke so highly of the team. Hearing all the wonderful things about the company made me both excited and a little nervous, especially during my interview with Skye and Justin, which was unusual for me. I even remember Skye asking if I had finished my Christmas shopping, and I’m still not sure if she fully understood my answer, lol.

Looking back, I can confidently say that joining the team was one of the best decisions I’ve made, and CM is truly one of the best clients I’ve ever had. The environment encourages growth and fosters a supportive culture, which I believe is one of the keys to serving our clients better. I’m really glad I let Grace push me to take that step and join the team.

Favorite Core Memory: Well, my core memory will always be my very first interview/interaction with Skye asking me, "Do you even smile or are you just nervous?" I was super anxious that day, and instead of rescheduling the interview, I decided to show up. This one question made me smile, and I felt super comfortable for the next 10-15 minutes.
Moving ahead with my interview with Justin, I was pretty much amazed how there was barely any question related to the skill set, it was more about who I am as a person and what values I am looking for. I can clearly see him dissecting every word I say and if I am pretending to be someone I am not.
And then I joined on Tuesday, got to meet everyone on my 1st day and woah, what a warm, welcoming, sweet bunch of professionals. A dream team, I would say.
My day 1 was an affirmation that stars aligned this for me, and I am going to have best working experience of my life here.
Tbh, I am loving every bit of this newness and growth culture at CM!

When we played games like charades, it was genuinely fun, and Cleaner Marketing made the working environment enjoyable. Even though we are in different countries, it doesn’t feel that way. Each of us encourages and pushes one another to be our best—like a family. I have never felt this level of belonging in a workplace before.
